Looks like the WEC app !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! in the US and English-speaking Canada, and viewers will be forced to Velocity/Motor Trend Network.

I’m not paying $300/year extra just to get Velocity to watch WEC (the article says the Motor Trend app will work, but usually how these kinds of deals work, you need to have the channel in your cable TV package to get streaming of the cable shows), I’ll pirate if that’s how it’s going to go...

SoundsSounds like a VPN might be the cheaper option.

Vpn?

I use Private Internet Access, it works quite well, and is quite reasonably priced.

I mean, I actually use a VPN for Formula E, but... I really don’t feel like paying the ACO $57.83 for something that I have to use a VPN to use, when they’re the ones that made the exclusivity deal. I was willing to pay before that deal, but now? No.

Hence piracy.

That’s fair. I can understand that.

I specifically have an old Kindle Fire tablet that I use just for watching sports streams on questionable websites like sportsarefree.xyz. I’m not sure if they’ll have WEC but somebody will.

Well, crap. I had seen the velocity/Motor Trend deal, but completely missed the part about the WEC app being geoblocked. At least all 24 hours will actually be on Velocity. I don’t see myself signing up for the Motor Trend streaming service.

If it’ll be livestreamed on MotorTrend On Demand you won’t need to be subscribed to the TV network to watch with a MTOD subscription, and you’ll also get UK Touring Cars, Aussie V8 Supercars, and a plethora of other series (plus all the Motor Trend shows like Roadkill commercial free) for like $50/year.
